The Fire Show on Chaweng Beach
Every night at Elephant Beach Club, dancers and flames light up the water on Chaweng Beach, Koh Samui.
Every evening as the sun goes down, fire performers take over the sand in front of Elephant Beach Club for Koh Samui's nightly fire show. It's completely free and open to everyone on the beach, no ticket or booking required. Grab a sunbed, order a cocktail, and watch the flames dance over the water at Chaweng Beach.

What happens
Fire on the sand, every single night
Every night at Elephant Beach Club, fire performers take over the sand right where the beach meets the water for Chaweng's signature fire show. Flaming staffs and props spin and arc against the dark of the Gulf of Thailand, framed by the lit-up beach club behind them. It's the kind of moment that stops conversations mid-sentence, a small crowd always gathers along the shoreline and the sunbeds to watch.
The show runs for the length of the evening, not one short routine, performers keep the beach moving while dinner service continues at the restaurant just behind. Many guests build their whole evening around it: a table at blue hour, then dessert as the fire takes over outside. It's a free, public show on the open beach, there's no formal seating, you watch from wherever you happen to be, on the sand, on a sunbed, or at a table.

Free, every night, no ticket
The fire show runs every night from 7:30pm – 11:30pm on the beach in front of Elephant Beach Club, Chaweng Beach. It's free to watch, there's no entry fee and no ticket, you simply turn up and find a spot on the sand or a sunbed.
If you'd rather watch from a table with dinner and drinks in hand, book ahead for the restaurant or reserve a sunbed, both put you a few steps from the water, right in front of where the show happens. The fire show runs on its own every night of the week; on Saturdays it overlaps with the beach club's weekly DJ party, so expect a bigger, later crowd if you come then.
Best spot to watch
Where to stand, sit, and watch
The best seats are the simplest ones: a sunbed or a table at Elephant Beach Club, right on the sand where the performers work, just a few metres from the water. From there you get the full width of the show with the Gulf of Thailand as a backdrop, and a drink or dinner within reach the whole time.
To watch from the sand itself, arrive a little before 7:30pm and find a spot close to the water's edge where the performers set up, the crowd thickens here once the show gets going. For a quieter view, the restaurant terrace a little further back still has a clear line of sight to the beach, which suits anyone who'd rather enjoy a full dinner without standing in the middle of the crowd.

Make a night of it
Dinner, drinks, and the fire outside
Pair the fire show with dinner at the restaurant, our beachfront kitchen serves lunch through to late dinner a few steps from the sand, so you can eat first and step outside when the flames start. Book a table ahead for the best spot by the water.
The fire show happens every night you're on Chaweng Beach, and on Saturdays it runs alongside the beach club's weekly DJ party, so the beach stays loud and lit well past midnight, check the full after-dark programme for what's on. If you're staying at the resort, you don't need to go anywhere: the show happens right on the beach in front of Elephant, a short walk from the bungalows and villas.
